US Secretary of State Arrives in Shanghai

US Secretary of State Colin Powell arrived in Shanghai Wednesday evening to attend the 2001 Asia-Pacific Economic and Cooperation (APEC) meeting.

This is Powell's second visit to China after he assumed the post of Secretary of State. He was in Beijing in late July at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan.
