Chinese Vice Premier Meets British Guest

Chinese Vice Premier Wu Bangguo met Thursday in Beijing with John E. V. Rose, chief executive of Rolls- Royce Ltd in Britain.

Wu welcomed the guest and expressed the hope that the current visit would strengthen the cooperation between the two sides. He said China has a big potential market and hopes to further develop technology cooperation with the company.

Rose said that his company values the Chinese market, and the growth of Chinese feeder aircraft will provide more business opportunities for the company.

The two sides had cooperated for some 40 years, Rose said.

Rolls-Royce is a multinational company engaged in the manufacture of engines for aircraft and vessels.
