Hu Jintao: Sino-US Friendship Conforms to Two Peoples' Wish

Chinese Vice-President Hu Jintao said Friday that Sino-US friendship conforms to the wish of the people of the two countries and the trend of the times.

Speaking before US President George W. Bush's speech at Tsinghua University, Hu said that as long as the two sides respect each other, treat each other as equals, seek common ground while reserving differences, Sino-US relations will be able to develop in a healthy and steady way.
