Foreign ministers of China and Kazakhstan signed a protocol of border demarcation in Beijing Friday, and agreed to enhance cooperation in the fight against terrorism.
In talks with Kazak counterpart Kasymzhomart Tokayev, Chinese Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan said the protocol marks the full settlement of cross-border issues in the interests of both the Chinese and Kazak peoples.
Tang told Tokayev, who is also the Kazakhstan State Secretary, that the protocol is of great significance of stability, peace and exchanges in the two countries' border areas.
The two foreign ministers also expressed their satisfaction with Sino-Kazak cooperation in the fight against terrorism, separatism, extremism and the "East Turkistan" terrorists, saying the two countries share the same stance in the area, and should take further cooperative measures in future.
