10% of Couples Face Reproductive Problems

A new report suggests that one in ten newlywed couples in Beijing suffer from reproductive health problems.

Statistics from the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Health show that the number of volunteers signing up for health checks before marriage has declined drastically. About 5 percent of newlywed couples now take health tests, and 13 percent of them have reproductive problems.

Additionally, the report also pointed out that the rate of babies born with deformities is increasing.
