Chinese American director Ann Hu's Beauty Ever, starring A-list actress Zhou Xun and actor Wang Zhiwen, premiered in Shanghai on Saturday.

Director Ann Hu says the film integrates her own life experience and deep passion towards women.
   
It will shed lights on both female delicacy and cruelty.
   
Director Ann Hu is famous for her 2001 film Shadow Magic, which is about the clash of western technology and eastern tradition at the beginning of last century.
