China's Reality Show On Plastic Surgery

"Angles Love Beauty" Crew, including a team of plastic surgeons.
China's first reality TV program titled "Angels Love Beauty" featuring the entire process of women undergoing plastic surgery is hitting the top of the ratings chart.

This program chose 14 "needy" women aged twenty or older to receive, for free, plastic surgery operations worth millions of money. Not only will the best plastic surgeons in Asia resculpt the exteriors of these female contestants, the latter will also receive the most professional training in etiquette and manners as well as psychological counseling, as if they all have a new lease on life.

In the middle of September, "Angels Love Beauty" hit the TV screen. Without any makeup or adornment, the contestants that faced the cameras consist not only of young women just graduated from university, but even some middle-aged madams over forty. The reason prompting them to have the courage to accept this challenge is usually "naturally endowed defects bringing much pain to their lives," some even to the point of contemplating suicide.

In realizing the three-month metamorphosis from "ugly duckling" to "white swan," contestants must receive plastic surgery operations on a direct feed "from every angle, at zero distance and with no editing."

The lively and truthful recording of every detail of how these contestants transform themselves both physically and psychologically enable the viewers to see through the camera lenses the back stories of these women that few people know about.

Contestants who undergo the plastic surgery will not be able to see their own transformation until the final moment of the PK gala beauty contest finals.

Seventeen contestants will for the first time see themselves "reborn" ninety days later and after a knock-out round seven will move on to the finals and the champion will receive grand prizes plus an education scholarship to help them with their new life and hope.

Factors such as their performance, degree of transformation, quality and self-confidence will be principal factors by which the expert panel will judge them.
