People in Nanning, capital of southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, will enjoy a global carnival from Jan. 1 to Feb. 2, according to government sources.

The main venue of the carnival will be Nanning Folk Song Square which can hold 10,000 people.

The organizers have got all the equipment ready for the coming event and have invited a panel of 12 experts from the State Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision to test the equipment.

According to the sources, the toys which will be shown during the event are worth 33 million yuan (about US$4.07 million).

Global carnival is recognized as one of the world's top three entertainment brands together with Disney and Universal Pictures. All kinds of games, live concerts and gourmet festivals will be held during the event.
