No More Animal Organ Food on Campus
College and school canteens in Guangzhou will be forbidden from serving animal viscera from next month, reports Guangzhou-based Southern Metropolis News.

Pig lungs and liver, ingredients of popular dishes, will disappear from students' menus.

The Guangdong Provincial Bureau of Public Health also says that food has to be sold within two hours of being cooked or preserved at temperatures below 10 or above 60 degrees centigrade.

Wild mushrooms, globefish and potatos that have sprouted are banned, too.

The regulations were announced after several cases of food poisoning in campuses this year.
