Marriage Annulled for Hiding Disease
A court in northeastern Heilongjiang Province has annulled the marriage of a woman whose husband claimed she hid her hepatitis B infection from him and then passed the virus to their child, who later died.

The man discovered his wife's infection only after the couple's child died of the disease soon after birth, an official at the Nangang District People's Court in Harbin said yesterday.

The husband sued the wife, accusing her of failing to declare her illness on a medical exam taken prior to their marriage last year.
