Liver Recipient Lives on Well
China's first recipient of live liver transplant is doing well, according to her check-up in Xi'an, capital of northwestern Shaanxi Province on Tuesday.

The Xijing Hospital said the girl is "recuperating satisfactorily" from the transplant five years ago. Yu Faqin, 15, from central Henan Province, had her ailing 1.48-kilogram liver removed and a quarter of her father's live liver inserted on June 30, 1997 in a 13-hour operation.
