The top 10 models in the Shanghai Section of the 4th CCTV Model Competition were selected last Monday night. The winners were all fresh faces on the T-stage and they will represent Shanghai in the national finals to be held in Beijing.

This model competition is a national event held yearly by CCTV which is looking to find fresh faces. This year, there are 13 regional contests around the country. Models have to survive three rounds of competition to show off their figures and also their intelligence. Then they have the chance to go to Beijing and the national finals.

After performing in swimming costume, casual wear and evening gown, the 10 winners were selected from the final 40 candidates.

The Shanghai contest was held this year in the auction hall of the Shanghai Auction Co Ltd. After hosting CCTV's auction for advertisements in golden time for six consecutive years, the company lined up with CCTV for the modelling contest this year. It was also the first time the auction business had set foot in the fashion world.
