Spanish eyes on their cities
Adjust font size:

Spain, We, The Cities" exhibits the cities of Spain through the eyes and voices of Spanish women who live there.

The exhibition at the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall narrates the life of Spanish cities through the reflections of 100 women from numerous social and professional sectors: architects, city planners, writers, politicians, curators, immigrants, shopkeepers, housewives and many others.

It exhibits the most representative works of Spanish architecture of recent years, through numerous scale models, 100 photos, 150 plasma screens and 55 other screens, with explanations of the architects' projects. The women comment.

Visitors are surrounded by screens featuring women speaking continuously in Spanish.

The exhibition gives voice to the protagonists of the city: those who live in it, who construct it, who manage it, who design or maintain it.

It is supported by Spain's Ministry of Housing, with the collaboration of the State Corporation for International Expositions.

The exhibition was unveiled last year at the X Biennial of Architecture of Venice.
