Shanghai opens new sports park
Adjust font size:

Shanghai's biggest sports park opened in Yangpu District on Tuesday.

The 2.4-hectare Huangxing Sports Park has nine "caged football fields," or fields surrounded by high fences, two standard football fields, six basketball courts, two tennis courts and a baseball field. Three hundred people can use the facilities at the same time and it can host 300,000 visitors a year.

The park will open free to the public on the first Monday of every month. It will also open as a public welfare service during half its operating hours on other days.

Twenty professional coaches have been hired to teach at the park. It is at the crossroad of Guoshun Road E. and Shuangyang Road.
