Man of mystery returns
Adjust font size:

Last summer, tickets sold out a month before the Shanghai concert of Russian singer Vitas. The 27-year-old mystery star is back.

He performed in Beijing on Thursday and in Shenzhen yesterday. He will appear in Guangzhou tonight and is coming to Shanghai next week. Ticket prices range from 200 yuan (US$277.35) to 2,000 yuan for the Shanghai show.

He made his debut in 2000 as the youngest singer to perform on the stage of Kremlin's hall, but Vitas has never given any interviews. Nobody knows his real name and some fans even call him E.T. for his unbelievable voice and metrosexual appearance.

Not only a singer famed for his voice, live performances and glamorous costumes, Vitas has also performed in TV series, dramas and held his own fashion show which featured women's clothes he had designed himself.

He began performing in Asia in 2005 and his Chinese fan Website, which opened in 2004, has more than 20,000 registered members.
