2008 China Wuhan Plum Blossom Festival opens

Blooming plum blossoms is seen at the East Lake Plum Park in Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei Province, February 1, 2008. 2008 China Wuhan Plum Blossom Festival opened here yesterday. More than 100 varieties of plum blossoms including those from Japan and the United States will be exhibited in the park. The Plum Blossom Festival was initiated in 1983 and it displays the beautiful scene and deep cultural connotation of plum blossoms in all ways. [Xinhua]
