The Chinese Lunar New Year is fast approaching and you can feel the festival atmosphere all over China's capital city, even at the subway station.

Passengers passing by the Yonghegong station on Beijing's subway line 5 were surprised to find that every platform door was decorated with a pair of Spring Festival scrolls.

The Beijing Evening News reported Saturday that forty-eight door sides are now decorated with the red festive decorations.

They were all bought by the head of Yonghegong Station and paid for out of his own pocket.
