Taiwanese Software Maker Gives Products to Ningxia

Taiwanese software maker Iventec presented three sets of English-learning software to the government of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region on Wednesday.

This shows the Taiwanese enterprise's support for education in China's underdeveloped western regions, sources said. Ningxia is an economically backward region in the west.

The sets of software were given to Ningxia University, a middle school in Yinchuan, capital of the autonomous region, and a local information technology company.

Founded in 1975, Iventec is a multinational company concentrating on production of computers, communication equipment, software and phones. Its annual revenues reached US$3.5 billion last year.
