Website for Women and Children Opened

The website, www.cfy.com.cn or www.chinafamily.com.cn, providing information on women and children, was announced to start operation recently.

Jointly invested by the China Population Information Research Center under the State Family Planning Commission, and the Hong Kong Heguang Group, the website is enthusiastic in promoting public welfare and provides people with information in the fields of living, health care and education.

The website provides a special channel which is devoted to explaining the family planning police that China adopts and the current issues about protecting the legal rights of women and children.

The Hong Kong Heguang Group, a well-known transnational group engaging in international warehousing and storage business, has devoted itself to supporting cultural and educational activities since 1999.

“Mothers and children are of vital importance to the future of our society,” said Zhu Linchun, chairman of the board of the Heguang Group. “For a Glorious Tomorrow” is set as the goal of the group, according to Zhu.

The website opens 11 channels and 118 columns involving health care, parents’ knowledge, baby breeding and entertainment. Each day it provides net users with more than 5,000 web pages of information. It also opens a special channel through which funds will be collected to help poverty-stricken mothers, look for missing women and children, and cure AIDS patients. In addition, the website answers various kinds of questions from net citizens.

To offer people information and e-commerce service, the website invites experts from government and non-government institutions to work as its advisers, giving useful on-line consultations mainly on health and women and children’s affairs.
