Meat Safety Checking Urged
Shanghai has set up the nation's first animal drug and feed monitoring center in an effort to ensure safe meat for consumption.

Animal drugs, feed production businesses, slaughterhouses and meat wholesale markets will be regulated, said an official of the newly established Shanghai Animal Drug and Feed Administration. Regular inspection of the drug residue in pork from outside the city will be conducted, the administration said.
