Chinese Furniture Businesses Ready for US Lawsuit

Chinese furniture enterprises have said they are ready for a possible US anti-dumping lawsuit against their products.

American furniture companies say they are going to file the lawsuit to the US Department of Commerce this fall, which is based on the allegations that Chinese exporters are dumping their products at a low price.

China's Furniture Association says their products are sold at a higher price in the US than in China. They stress that Chinese exporters are not dumping their furniture at a price lower than the production cost.

The US is the largest importer of the Chinese-made furniture. Last year, China exported some 2.8 billion US dollars worth of furniture to the US.
