After a five-month appraisal, Zhou Dongying and nine other women won "Excellence Awards" for their business schemes in Shanghai Thursday.
Organized by the Shanghai Women's Federation, the activity hopes to encourage women to carve out their own careers. Altogether 42 schemes, half of which have been put into practice, were recommended for the competition, involving health care, skill training and image design. Women aged beyond 40 years are now a major force in the competition.
