Chinese Police Uncover Smuggling Case

Chinese border police in northeast China's port city of Dalian recently uncovered the attempted shipboard smuggling of three million yuan-worth of hairy deer-horn, watches, snake-skins, ginseng and knives.

Police seized the eight crew members on the Zhoushan No.8 on September 11 as the vessel docked in Dalian in Liaoning province.

According to the crew, the ship left Dalian earlier this month for South Korea but they failed to unload the goods in South Korea.

Local border police said the seizure is the largest of its kind during the past several years.
