The China (Zibo) International Ceramics Exposition opened in Zibo city Sunday in east China's Shandong Province.
Over 1,000 guests and businessmen from 39 countries and regions attended the opening ceremony of the 6-day exposition. State Councilor Wang Zhongyu sent a letter of congratulations to the exposition.
A ceramic culture exhibition and trade bidding activities are the main contents of the exposition. The culture exhibition will show the 8,500-year history of pottery and porcelain, as well as the world advanced ceramic products from Japan, Britain, Italy and the United States.
Experts said that the exhibition is the largest of its kind in China.
Zibo is one of China's five ceramics capitals, with a ceramics production history of more than 8,500 years, and products exported to over 70 countries and regions.
