China, Britain to Build Garden

China and Britain will jointly create a botanical garden to protect floral resources on the Yulong Snow Mountain in Lijiang, Yunnan Province.

The garden will be at the foot of the mountain. Experts plan to collect more than 2,300 species of rare plants growing in the mountain areas in the coming five years and exhibit them in the garden. About 20 species of valuable plants collected by Britain's Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh will be moved to the garden.
