HK Tourism Board Invites Residents to "Tell Hong Kong Story"

The Hong Kong Tourism Board ( HKTB) on Thursday launched a program inviting residents to share their legends, folklore and stories about Hong Kong, in a bid to promote Hong Kong's image as an ideal tourism destination. The program, entitled "Tell Your Hong Kong Story", starts on June 21 and will last until the end of July. It is aimed at disseminating the "Know Hong Kong" message community-wide, and injecting interesting elements and contents into the City of Life: Hong Kong is It campaign of the tourism board, the HKTB said.

The HKTB will invite local residents to submit legends, folklore and stories which concerns Hong Kong's history, district attractions, festivals, heritage, historic relics and traditional lifestyle.

The most interesting stories selected may be developed into feature articles to be publicized in Hong Kong and worldwide, the HKTB said.
