Doctor Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum Attracts Most Tourists

Dr Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum in east China's Nanjing City attracted most tourists during the past National Day holidays.

The number of tourists to the mausoleum totaled 480,000 in the past seven days, ranking first among the tourist destinations in the country.

The Palace Museum in Beijing and the Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou City also become the favorite sites for people.

"This year marks the 90th anniversary of the 1911 Revolution. It is really significant to visit the mausoleum at the moment," said Wang Linqiang, a tourist just back from Nanjing.

When people visited the mausoleum, they want to commemorate Dr Sun Yatsen, especially his achievements in unifying and enriching the nation, said an expert with China National Tourism Administration.
