New Air Route Links Nanchang With Mount Huangshan

An air route has opened to link Nanchang, capital of Jiangxi Province, with Mount Huangshan, a world-renowned tourist destination in Anhui Province.

An ART72 took its maiden voyage on the route Tuesday, which is to be followed by regular flights from Xinjiang Airlines twice a week.

Sources here said the new air route will cut the travel time from Mount Huangshan to Mount Lushan, another famous scenic spot in Jiangxi Province, from more than ten hours to three or four hours.

The two mountains are both on the World Cultural and Natural Heritage protection list of the United Nations Educational Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
