Giant Anchor of Ming Dynasty Found on Xisha

A PLA navy unit lately found a giant ancient anchor on Seven Isles of Xisha Islands.

The anchor, with 35-degree tips and an 80-degree handle, had firmly got stuck in the reef with a part over two meters of it revealed at a low ebb. A foursquare object, over 40 meters wide and thick, weighing 4 to 5 tons, with flat and peaked tips, the anchor was said having its manufacture dating back to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). This discovery once again proves that Xisha Islands is an inalienable part of Chinese territory over history.

According to experienced fishermen, as is estimated, the anchor must be from a 1,000-ton ship.
