Parking Charges to Slump for Capital Airport

Starting from June 30,vehicle riders can enjoy a big cut of parking charges in the Capital Airport of Beijing,with the cut margin reaching more than 200 yuan (US$24)on average for the vehicles that are parked overnight,eastday.com reported today.

It is the first time for the parking charges to be cut in the Capital Airport for the last three years.According to the new policy,the vehicles will be charged on the basis of eight hours if they were parked for more than eight hours while previously the charges were accumulated by hours.Small-size vehicles will be charged 80yuan (US$9.6)every day at upper-limit,with 80yuan added for one more day.Large-size vehicles will be charged 160yuan every day at upperlimit,adding 160yuan per day.Vehicle-riders can save up to two-thirds of the charges for 24-hour parking,with small ones cut by 156yuan and large ones by 310 yuan.The Vehicle-riders that plan to park their cars through the night are also charged by hours,with small-cars charged by 6 yuan at the first hour and five yuan will be added for every half an hour and large cars charged 10yuan at the beginning hour and 10 yuan will be added for every half an hour.Small-vehicle riders should pay 236 yuan for 24-hour parking and large-vehicle should be charged 470 yuan for a full day.Passengers can enjoy more convenience from the new policy in addition to the cut of charges,said the industry analyst.The growing number of parking cars will make full use of the parking space in the Capital Airport,the analyst said.
