Beijing Concert Hall
South of Liubukou on the West Chang’ an Boulevard, there is a silver stave that marks the Beijing Concert Hall. The black marble building is graced with huge murals of natural stones on both sides of the main foyer. Portraits of the famous Chinese composers Nie Er and Xian Xinghai and foreign musicians are hung along the corridors and in the lounge.

In the hall, a lower platform reduces the space between performer and audience. A 15-panel reflective board hung above the stage in three groups sends sound waves from below to every corner of the hall, maximizing the acoustic effect.

Concert held here include instrumental and vocal music, Western and Chinese. Performing groups sometimes come from abroad.
