Putong Pagoda at Temple in Harbin of Heilongjiang Province
Located inside Harbin’s Jile Temple is a modern tomb pagoda containing ashes of monks. It has an underground palace where ashes of eminent monks of Putong Temple were kept after they died. The pagoda is very special in its structure and shaper: A huge inverted bowl at the bottom supports three-layer closely constructed eaves, big and heavy, on top of which are three precious beads served as the steeple of the pagoda.
