The ruins of an ancient porcelain kiln that can be traced back to nearly 1,000 years ago were recently discovered in north China's Hebei Province.

The ruins were discovered at a construction site in Hedong village, Jingxing County.

Archaeologists said that after 70 days of unearthing work, they have found a number of stamped porcelain plates, bowls and other cultural artifacts.

The archeologists have identified the porcelain kiln as belonging to the Jin Dynasty (1115--1234) and agreed that this discovery will have significant meaning for researches of both porcelain and the Jin Dynasty.
