Spokesman: CPC National Congress to last 7 days

The 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), scheduled to open in Beijing on Monday, will last seven days till Oct. 21, a spokesman for the congress said on Sunday.

The twice-a-decade event will open at 9:00 AM on Monday at the Great Hall of the People in central Beijing, said spokesman Li Dongsheng at a press briefing Sunday afternoon.
