He Guoqiang elected to oversee CPC anti-graft watchdog

He Guoqiang was elected Monday secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

He, born in Oct. 1943 and newly elected member of the Political Bureau Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee, was elected at the first plenary session of the 127-member Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.

He is head of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, and was a member of the Political Bureau and the Secretariat of the 16th CPC Central Committee.
