Mental Health Website Launched

A website designed to help young people in China with mental illnesses has launched in Beijing.

The site provides psychological consultations through on-line forums and chatting as well as via email and regular expert columns. CRI.com reported Thursday.

Statistics show that suicide and self-injury are on the rise among Chinese primary and middle school students. Chinese psychologists have acknowledged that more and more young people suffer from some form of mental illness.

The site launched on Tuesday is sponsored by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China and other relevant departments.
