The 6th China Photography Festival has opened in Duyun city of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

The theme of the festival is Progressing China: Civilization and Development. The works of over 100 photographers from home and abroad are on display. Photographers will also compete for the country's most prestigious photo award, the China Golden Image. Over 1,000 photographers as well as photography lovers, magazines and camera companies will attend various activities at the festival.

It is the highest level Photography Festival in China and will last for five days.
