Maintenance on Three Tibet's Cultural Sites Runs Smooth

A local official in the Tibet Autonomous Region says maintenance projects on three historical and cultural sites are running smoothly.

The official says the projects involve a total of 142 assignments, designed to retain the charm of Potala Palace, a garden in Lhasa, Luobulinka and Sajia Temple, which is a major destination for Tibetan Buddhists.

The Chinese government plans to invest more than 300 million yuan (US$362.3 thousand) in maintaining the three cultural heritage sites in Tibet over a five year period.
