Women's Education on Rise

Over the past few years, more and more women in China have been enrolling in graduate studies. China now has one of the largest populations of female students, teachers and professors in the world.

According to the Ministry of Education, forty-four percent of China's college students are female. And ten percent of all doctorate degree-holders are women.

China now has over 240,000 female professors, making up some forty-two percent of the country's total. Almost all majors are open to female students in China, except for some specialized fields.
