Shanghai Forum to Be Held in Mid May

As part of the centennial celebration of Fudan University, one of China's top universities, the Shanghai Forum will be held in this city from May 16 to 17, organizers said Monday.

More than 300 delegates from academic, business and political circles from about 30 countries and international institutions including the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation are expected to attend the forum, said Wang Shenghong, president of Fudan.

Themed on economic globalization and the choice of Asia, the forum will focus on issues of energy, the information industry and finance, Wang said.

The forum is co-sponsored by Fudan and the Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies of the Republic of Korea.
