An activity to collect musical works from the general public for 2006 Vienna-China New Year Concert has kicked off.
   
According to the Organization Committee of Vienna-China New Year Concert, the activity will choose three compositions and one special piece to be part of the concert's repertoire.
   
The Vienna-China New Year Concert was first held at the Golden Hall of Vienna in 2001 and has become an annual event since then.
   
The composition style of the pieces is open and should be submitted before October 15.
