Search for Shangri-la to Hit Beijing Again

A rewritten version of the large-scale song and dance performance, Searching for Shangri-la, will be held at Beijing's Poly Theater from May 3 to 7.

The stage performance featuring grassroots song and dance from southwest China's Yunnan Province debuted in Beijing last April. So far, it has been performed more than 300 times across the country.

According to Yang Liping, the director of the performance, a scene featuring a Miao harvest celebration has been added, and most of the original pieces remain unchanged.
