Sculpture Exhibition Held for 60th Anniversary of Anti-Japanese War

Over 60 sculptures newly created by Chinese artists are now on a tour exhibition in Changchun, capital of Jilin Province in Northeast China.

The sculptures are created especially to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the success of the anti-Fascist wars, especially the 60th anniversary of victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Invasion.

The exhibition will go to the cities of Nanjing, Zhengzhou, Chongqing, Xiamen, before returning to Beijing, where it will be exhibited in downtown Wangfujing street. All the six cities it tours have been subjected to Japanese invasion in late 1930s.

The sculptures will meanwhile be part of a special exhibition during the upcoming 2nd Beiijng International Art Biennale. They will be exhibited along with another 20 foreign artists' works at the China Museum of Fine Arts in September.
