Wu Guanzheng, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, wrote the preface for the book.

Chen Yun served as first secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection for nine years since late 1978. He was credited with lots of meritorious, trail-blazing work and theories in the sphere of discipline inspection of the Party.
