A four-day cultural event focusing on Hong Kong heritage will be held in Vancouver to strengthen Hong Kong's cultural ties with Canada and promote the city's heritage to the Canadian community, the Hong Kong government announced Thursday.

Jointly organized by Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Canada (HKETO) and the Canadian Cancer Society of British Columbia," Hong Kong Cultural Heritage Celebrations" will be held over Chinese New Year in Vancouver.

The highlights of the Hong Kong celebrations are martial arts, Cantonese opera performances and a Hong Kong Heritage Exhibition.

A 70-member Hong Kong delegation led by Hong Kong's Secretary for Home Affairs, Patrick Ho will fly to Vancouver as the city's Goodwill Ambassadors to send their greetings to the people in Vancouver.
