Hong Kong's Mickey Celebrates Its First Halloween

Hong Kong Disneyland announced Friday it will have a one-month Halloween celebration starting from Sept. 30 and hoped the traditional western festival will bring different flavor to its Chinese guests during the week-long National Day holiday.

Hong Kong Disneyland has made a careful preparation for its first Halloween celebration. The theme park is lightened up with traditional Halloween colors of purple and yellow. The jack-o'- lantern is changed into the familiar smiling face of Mickey Mouse with two pumpkins forming his famous ears. And Mickey changes himself into a swordsman while Donald Duck wears a giant and orange pumpkin costume.

Hong Kong Disneyland said it hopes the new event will draw more visitors to the park and the ticket price will remain the same during the one-month celebration.

Besides, Hong Kong Disneyland just launched its annual pass Thursday, which available in three categories, including Value (HK$650), Deluxe (HK$1,300) and Premium (HK$1,800), basing on visiting days during the year.

The park said it hoped the new ticket arrangement will give its guests greater flexibility.
