Experience the Forbidden City Via Old Photos

An exhibition titled "Impression of the Forbidden City International Photography Exhibition" is under way at the Forbidden City. A total of 300 photos record the people and culture, scenery, architecture and history of the Forbidden City.

The pictures on display include over 50 old photos collected by the National Palace Museum, works from 2004 Forbidden City International Photography Contest and those collected by the public.

The earliest and most valuable photos are ones taken of the Forbidden City found in 1925 and the ceremony conducted when Japanese army surrendered.

The exhibition will last until the end of October.
