Inner Mongolia to hold cultural festival in Mongolia
Adjust font size:

A Chinese diplomat told Xinhua on Tuesday that China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region would hold a four-day cultural gala in Ulaan Baatar on Jan. 15-18.

Wang Daqi, cultural counselor of the Chinese embassy to Mongolia, said a cultural delegation, consisting of nearly 120 writers, singers, dancers, folk artists and others from Inner Mongolia in northern China would visit Outer Mongolia during the festival and present shows to Mongolian audiences.

He said Chinese and Mongolian artists would jointly conduct a spring festival concert. An exhibition of books and videotapes, a film show, among other activities, will also be presented.

Employees of a Chinese bookstore neighboring the Chinese embassy were busily preparing for the upcoming cultural festival, according to a Xinhua correspondent in Ulaan Baatar.

China's Inner Mongolia region and Outer Mongolia, who share a long border, also share many social and cultural similarities.
