Adjust font size:

An exhibition of Chinese New Year woodblock prints opened in Warsaw Monday to showcase this traditional Chinese art on the eve of China's Spring Festival.

More than 100 exquisite woodblock prints in various styles and from different places of China were on display, offering the Polish audience a glimpse into the history, development and the customs of this special art form which is popular during Chinese Lunar New Year.

At the opening ceremony Chinese Ambassador Sun Rongmin said he hoped the exhibition would bring spring and happiness to the Polish people as it does to the Chinese people for many years.

The exhibition would last for about three weeks.
