Hong Kong to Participate in Tokyo Game Show
A Hong Kong delegation on digital entertainment will visit Japan from September 19 to 25 to promote Hong Kong's digital entertainment industry in the international market.

Speaking at a media briefing held Monday to announce details of the visit, Deputy Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Technology Alan Siu said that the delegation would attend the internationally renowned trade fair "Tokyo Game Show 2002" and visit leading digital entertainment companies in Japan.

Tokyo Game Show has been described as "the world's greatest festival of games". A total of 75 exhibitors from Japan and other parts of the world will take part in the exhibition this year. Over 1,200 booths will be set up. Around 150,000 visitors are expected.

Hong Kong delegation comprises 25 members, including representatives from the local digital entertainment industry, the Hong Kong Digital Entertainment Association, the Hong Kong Productivity Council and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.

Hong Kong will, for the first time, participate in Tokyo Game Show as one of the exhibitors. A Hong Kong Pavilion will be set up to showcase Hong Kong's excellence in digital entertainment, according to Siu.
